Aside from the occasional cricket, the night was still and quiet. The huge Chaream Kingdom's wall towered high above the plain like a silent guardian. It was the ultimate bastion: an unassailable twelve foot high, three-foot thick reinforced slab of brick, steel and concrete. September 10th. It was the greatest and most beloved of all of the holidays in the Kingdom of Taismo. It was a day of feasting and celebration, a day to remember the events that led to the founding of the kingdom.   
It was the day that Dash, Paladin of Taismo, looked forward to all year. The blue-gray, three-tailed anthropomorphic fox stood on the edge of a cliff overlooking the fairgrounds and closed his eyes, relishing the thoughts of the day’s events.
